Four senses
From 11 to 15 October, Forum Algarve will host the Four Senses event, a unique initiative that invites all participants to experience the world through their senses, highlighting the importance of accessibility and inclusion for people with visual impairments. This event coincides with White Cane Day, celebrated on 15 October, and aims to raise awareness in the community about the reality of blind and visually impaired people.
Immersive Experience
The event offers a closed, guided tour, in which participants will have to find their way without using their sight, relying only on their other senses and a cane. The tour allows everyone to experience first-hand the challenges faced daily by those with visual impairments, promoting empathy and awareness.
The event space will also feature:
Exhibitors with photographs and content related to the theme of visual impairment.
A children’s area with adapted creative activities for younger visitors to explore and learn.
A talk area with a lounge area where participants can watch conversations and debates.
